Trials

I think I've found the American equivalent of sheep-dog trials. It was on telly last night. Fast forward to 1:10 for the real fun without the lengthy introduction (although it's kind of worth seeing the map of the course at the beginning too):

hmmmn - that's no bad, but in my opinion nowhere near as good as obstacle courses featured in british 80s tv stalwarts: Superstars, where Daley Thompson used to vault the opening 12ft wall; The Krypton Factor where contestants (fresh from crash-landing jumbos on the flight simulator) used to regularly misjudge air to ground distances on the closing death-slide and get caked head to toe in wet mud; and my personal favourite "steve! you will goooo on my firrrst whistle" Gladiators, when spent competitors would run out of gas at the very top of the travelator and slide forlornly back down again...imagine the mental agony of not being able to smash through the crepe paper at the end!
